Back to Reality
Yes, the dream vacation is officially over. Monday has welcomed me back to reality with a slap on the face. I tried to deny the undeniable, but the alarm clock kept reminding me of the duties ahead. It’s only healthy for a vacation to be over and too much of a good thing is not a good thing after all––as the sage would say. Sage? Mon oeil! My eye! ( expression of disbelief and mild disdain—great for replacing My ***). But Thanksgiving has just passed and I am truly thankful for everything—good and bad—in my life, including elapsed vacations.
Even though the jump back to real life was sudden, with no transition time to speak of, Monday wasn’t so bad. After a good cup of coffee and a few compliments about my tan early in the morning, the day actually went quite well. And I am proud to say that the occasional thoughts of St. Thomas and St. Martin throughout the day didn’t prevent me from staying focused. Go Nisrine!

Joumana, I don't know about the internet, but the beaches were beautiful. Megan's Beach (picture #2) is one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. By all means, go if you get a chance.
