Our St. Patrick’s Party

I ‘m not Irish but I love St. Patrick’s Day, thank you very much.

Since I’ve met John a couple of years ago, it’s been our tradition to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with his family. His mother is an amazing cook, so amazing I don’t think anyone in or outside of Ireland could top her soda bread or Shepherd’s Pie.

We feasted on cheese, cornichons, fresh fruits and nuts. Then it was time for a long awaited traditional Irish meal. Guinness stew, Guinness chili, corned beef and Shepherd’s Pie were all delightfully enjoyed.

The party sweetly ended with Irish coffee and Guinness cake.

À l’année prochaine…

Sounds fabulous! Love all the festive green garb and nails :). I usually make a St. Paddy's dinner for my father-in-law, but not this year. I missed it! Thanks for sharing yours.

No wonder you enjoy St. Patrick's day with all that great food. Love all the Guinness in the food – it wouldn't be St. Patrick's Day without the Guinness would it? :)

Love the nails and decor and socks – but where is the stew and Sheppard's pie and the recipes. Sounds too yummy! Cute TEE!
I AM Irish – maiden name: McKinney… yet, as my dad was first generation Irish in Canada, we were never raised with any Irish traditions and I crave to know more.
