Lunch at Oasiria Water Park

Moments after we arrived in Marrakesh, my daughter asked to go to Oasiria. She had a great time last year and couldn’t wait to go again. Heck, neither could I. I’m not into roller coasters but I’m a sucker for water parks.

Soon after we recovered from our jet lag—I haven’t really completely recovered yet—we packed our floats, towels and other pool gear and headed to Oasiria on a sunny, breezy morning.

Oasiria has many toboggans (water slides), a few knee-deep kids’ pools, a quiet adult pool, a wave pool, a lazy river and a heated pool. The weather was nice and the water temperature pleasant but we spent most of the day at the heated pool. Couldn’t resist the warm, cozy spa feel of it!

We ate lunch at La Paillote, one of three restos in the park. It featured salads, pizzas, burgers and pasta. My favorite part of the meal was the appetizer sampler of tchoutchouka, zaalouk and olives served with fresh bread. What I love about food in Morocco is that whether it’s cheap food, fast food, street food, gas station food, or water park food; it is good. It’s freshly made with fresh ingredients pretty much everywhere. Simply delicious. Deliciously simple. It’s not kobe beef or triple zero caviar, if you get what I mean, but it’s very good, in a simple, down to earth way.

I went to Marrakech in Dec 2009 and never heard of this water park. :( I guess it would have been too cold anyway. Seems like you had a lovely day. Btw, the olives in Morocco ar simply the best tasting ones I've ever had. :)

I've never been there, but several persons told me that it's a perfect place for families with children.
Enjoy your stay at Marrakech !! I'll go there very soon, especially since it's only 2 hours far from Agadir via the highway.

What a beautiful water park… so elegant compared to those I've seen advertised during the summer, crammed with hundreds of children and inner tubes! This one looks so peaceful.

    Enjoy your time in Marrakech!

Who would have thought that a water park could be so beautiful, and with delicious food being served? Looks like you had the perfect family outing.
