Our Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes

Quickly popping in to say hello and share some of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes from gorgeous and pleasantly warm Panama where I’m de-rusting my survival Spanish and soaking up all that cosmopolitan Panama City has to offer.

I hope you have a fabulous holiday with family and loved ones.

Appetizers

I love the butternut squash and date dip, the Moroccan herbed and spiced goat cheese as well as the blue cheese stuffed dates as a pre-meal conversation starter. The roasted eggplant and tomato spread is great on crusty bread and the chilled apple soup a light and elegant way to get the appetite juices flowing. Cranberry hummus is a wise way to use up leftover cranberry sauce.

Side Dishes

The zucchini ribbons are literally ready in minutes and delicious, the sweet potato sticks so much fun and the chipotle sweet potato casserole zesty and unexpected. The carrot salad is a huge statement of flavor, the couscous stuffing as exotic as Morocco itself and the saffron rice a great gluten-free starch to go with your turkey.

Desserts

Dessert, dessert. You must not skip dessert. Celebrate citrus season with this classic Moroccan citrus salad, 15-minute baklava or chocolate covered date truffles. Feeling like going a bit more authentic? Go for the baked apples, pear galette or pecan torte for a delicious combination of autumn fruits, nuts and spices.

Lots of love,

Nisrine

Well, it;s very early in the morning here in Turkey but you’ve tempted me with all of those flavours. Citrus season is just around the corner for us. Can’t wait.

Love the new look of the site by the way. We’re working on ours but it’s taking longer than thought… ;)
