Vegan Eggnog Recipe
Eggnog minus eggs and cream sounded like a great idea to me. It meant I could have my dessert and my eggnog this holiday season without having to pass up one or the other. When I made it the idea made even more sense because a healthy drink turned out to be as delicious and festive as I had hoped.

VEGAN EGGNOG
Yield: 1 serving
Total Time: 5 min
I used honey (which is not vegan) in this recipe but feel free to replace it with another sweetener such as agave or maple syrup.
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon tahini or almond butter
1 tablespoon honey
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch turmeric powder
2 tablespoons or more Amaretto or dark rum (optional)
Ice cubes, for servingDirections:
Blend all the ingredients except the rum and ice cubes in a blender or food processor for 30 seconds until creamy. Strain into a serving glass. Stir in Amaretto or rum, if using. Add ice cubes. Enjoy!

OMG: am not really an eggnog person, but love almond milk and tahini, so shall most decidedly try this – thank you! Doesn’t Maya look quite the little mother and James feels quite comfortable in that lap also :) ! And all that wonderful rich hair on both!!! Thanks for printing!!
