Braun FP3020 Food Processor Review

Braun FP3020 Food Processor Review (Tried and Tested)

I’ve worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for a little over 10 years in a factory of small appliances, and I can definitely say I’ve got the right stuff when it comes to picking the very best units.

But before we go any further into this matter, Here’s what’s in the review.

Braun Food Processor FP3020 Review

Review Outline

  1. We’ll list all of the product specifications
  2. Then we’ll list both positive and negative end-user reviews
  3. In conclusion, I will give this product my final grade

Product Specifications:

  • 600-watt powerful motors
  • Electronically controlled- has variable speed options
  • Sealed bowls prevent leakage
  • For USA(110V) use only
  • Complete control over the food preparation process

Well, it doesn’t look bad so far. But let’s see how the real end-users feel about this product.

Positive User Reviews:

  • I’ve owned this food processor for about 7 years, and I ended up giving the same model to my sister as a birthday present. So far, none of us has any complaints.
  • Simply the best food processor I’ve had so far, and I went through my fair share of those looking for the one.. It saves me so much time and trouble on daily basis…
  • I loved the simplicity…how I can use all the blades and speed variations and the juicer. I had no idea it had so many features, I totally enjoy exploring them..
  • The multi-speed options make my job so much easier. Such a great buy…
  • The first time I ran it on the highest speed setting (14) I expected it to be really loud, but it actually surprised me. If I weren’t the one to turn it on, I probably wouldn’t even know it’s working…
  • Cleans up is a breeze, and the speed controls are right there on the front of the machine and easy to use. I just rinse the bowl with some hot water, and we can go for another round.
  • It’s not really tall so it’s super easy to store. To be honest, with all of the different blades and options, I don’t put it away much anymore, but still, it’s nice to know it’s light enough for me to do it on my own.
  • It works great on cheese, dough, smoothies, herbs, nuts. It simply does what it says it will do, and then it just amazes you with its speed and versatility.
  • Removing, cleaning, or removing the lid off of the work bowl is just so much simpler with this Braun compared to my old food processor. I’m really happy with it…
  • It’s designed so well and it’s so sturdy that I can literally use it with one hand. Such a great and powerful machine. I would definitely recommend it…
  • So far I’ve used this product for salsa, hummus, baby food, smoothies, drinks, vegetables, fruit, nuts. It dices, slices, chops, you name it. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
  • Everything comes together and apart so easily, and the storing is really easy because this Braun is not too tall or heavy. It gives me so many options that I’m not even sure if I’m going to need them all.
  • It’s super light, and the bowl and the lid simply snap together. It’s just so easy to use. The bowl is just the right size for a perfect batch of any food.

Negative User Reviews:

  • It only lasted for 2.5 years and then it just stopped working. I’m currently waiting for a replacement.
  • Sometimes it vibrates too much if I leave it on for 5 minutes or so on higher speed settings.
  • My previous Braun had a better cutting shield for the blade.
  • I personally believe that a coarse slicer should be a must in every kitchen, and it didn’t come with my Braun.. Plus, it’s not very clear if it comes with a coarse shredder or a coarse grater. The answer is a shredder.

My Final Verdict

After putting a lot of thought into this and double-checking all the facts and user reviews, I’ve come to a final grade for this product. But first, let’s do a short recap.

This is a great and versatile food processor that gives you many options and comes with loads of attachments. That is obviously a plus.

But I couldn’t help but notice, as an ex Quality Assurance Manager, that it could happen that when you order this product, maybe you get some of the additional attachments and not the basic ones. If this happens, simply contact Braun customer service and have the attachment in question replaced.

If you’re looking for a powerful kitchen machine with countless features, look no further.

Product Specifications:

  • Saves you kitchen space with in-bowl storage
  • Easier cleaning; Dishwasher-safe parts
  • Easy to use, On/Pulse options
  • 8-cup capacity

Positive User Reviews

  • This is the best food processor I’ve had so far, it works wonderfully.

It has plenty of room so you can cook for many people at once. It’s great for family reunions and holiday food preparation; it cuts my prep time in half when I make larger quantities of food.

  • This is truly an excellent and powerful food processor. After my 15-year old one, this one seems to do everything in warp speed…
  • Definitely worth the money. I’m really into kitchen appliances, and this bad boy can go for miles. I’ve had so many food processors, and this one would definitely rank high in my top 5…
  • Does exactly what it says it will do. Quick, quiet, efficient. Easy to use, and even easier to clean. I like the On/Off and pulse buttons, they are highly responsive…
  • It did a great job on any food so far, even home-made pasta dough. Slicing and shredding blades work as well as the mixing…
  • It looks solid and built to last. The blades are really sharp and well-built. It’s almost too powerful for its size, but the motor doesn’t heat no matter how long I abuse it…
  • It worked great so far for my 5-member family. It’s really easy to clean, and it doesn’t gather dust as it’s easy to store it in the bowl itself…
  • My husband cooks in our family, so this was a present for him. So far, he has reported no problems and says that it saves him a lot of time in the kitchen…
  • It works wonders with baby food ingredients. I like how I can make a big batch and then just store it in the fridge. The best part- my baby doesn’t seem to notice when it’s on…
  • It arrived on time and in good condition. Does what it says it will on the box…
  • So far I’ve made hummus, pie crust, cookie dough, pesto, biscuit dough and I have no complaints. It works great on salads as well…
  • Great food processor, it’s really light but very powerful. It’s easy to manage, and it’s very user-friendly…
  • I like the bowl lock extra safety option, and the fact that it closes smoothly. The best thing about it- I didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for it…very satisfied…

Negative User Reviews:

  • I know it’s an 8-cup capacity food processor and all, but if you put less than half a cup of anything in it since the blades are sitting high, it won’t even touch it…
  • I live alone, and I wish I’ve gotten a smaller one…it’s not so good if you need smaller batches…
  • The feeding tube doesn’t seem to be able to fit whole potatoes, so you have to cut them in half before you put them in…

My Review

After all that we’ve learned and read today, the time has come for us to evaluate this product. My overall impression of this product is- what you see is what you get.

Sturdy, powerful, and quiet are the best epithets to describe this Hamilton of generous 8-cup capacity.

As a former Quality Assurance Manager, I am obligated to direct your attention to some potential problems that you might encounter.

Keep in mind that this food processor has a minimal and maximal capacity and that it won’t process any quantity of food under the marked minimum.

User Reviews

The Pros:

  • Best food processor I’ve had, I couldn’t be happier with it.
  • The Cuisinart PowerPrep Plus is assisting me beautifully. Large enough to handle all the food I need in one batch.
  • I started cooking practically daily after I got this Cuisinart because it’s so easy to use and even easier to clean.
  • This was my first food processor, so the video that came with it really demystified the machine and gave me great cooking tips. And I thought I didn’t have it in me to cook nice meals…
  • All the parts of this food processor fit just right in my dishwasher, so cleaning is a breeze.
  • I really do not know how I ever lasted so long without it.
  • My husband and I have one word to describe this model. Wow. It eliminated all of my frustrations that I had with our previous food processor.
  • This is my third food processor and a wonderful accomplice in my cooking ventures. So far the best one I’ve owned.
  • What a solid and useful appliance. I’ve had it for about 10 years, and I have no complaints so far.
  • I hesitated a bit at first because of the price, but in the end, I went ahead and splurged. Boy, am I glad I did. It doesn’t take up much space because all of the parts pack nicely into the bowl, and I can put them all into my dishwasher.
  • I especially like how the feed tub pusher inserts, and you don’t need to twist it, what a great new method.

  • I like the safety interlock feature, it really means a lot when you have a house full of children…
  • The large feeding tube is great for whole potatoes and big chunks of cheese I need to get grated. So far it worked wonders on everything from nuts, herbs, seeds, vegetables.
  • This Cuisinart is a workhorse; I use it every night of the week and it doesn’t overheat.
  • Large capacity, heavy-duty blades, lots of power. I’m a working mom so not having to make more than one batch of anything for my family really saves a lot of time.
  • It’s so easy to use, and it doesn’t move around the counter when on like my previous food processor did. It’s also very easy to store and clean. Powerful and user-friendly, everything I needed…

The Cons

  • All the safety features can sometimes be a drag. You actually need to remove the feeder when you want to open the top…
  • After only a few years of use, my bowl cracked, and finding a replacement has been a pain in my…
  • I wish it was shipped with some kind of blade holders or a separate container just for them…
  • After already buying this model, I’ve realized it doesn’t have the 3×3 mm julienne disc that I wanted…

My Review

After a detailed inspection of this product and after going through virtually every piece of information available on this product, I’m ready to break it down for you.

So, this is a really big and powerful food processor, no doubt about that. It is ideal for a large household or throwing big parties, or just simple everyday food preparation.

My Quality Assurance Manager sense didn’t “tingle” at any point in time, and I really tried to find a major flaw to this product.

The only thing that caught my eye was the fact that it doesn’t come with a separate blade holder, and a company that invests so much in safety features as Cuisinart does should know better.

Kitchen King Manual Food Processor Review

Kitchen King Manual Food Processor Review

These little guys can sometimes be the cause of a lot of frustrations, and sometimes they can be the best thing that has happened to your kitchen and with this review, I will try to help you tell the difference between the two.

Kitchen King Manual Food Processor Review

So, this is how this review will look:

  1. We’ll list all of the product specs
  2. We’ll go through a selection of positive and negative end-user reviews
  3. We’ll give our final grade to this product and try to figure out if it’s worth it or not

Specifications:

  • Small and handy manual food processor
  • Chops and slices with just a few twists
  • Processes your food in a few smooth turns of the handle
  • Doesn’t need an electric plug
  • Easy to use and clean
  • Suitable size and weight for traveling
  • Very sharps blades for quickest results
  • Comes with a spatula

Positive User Reviews:

  • It’s really handy and easy to use. Great for making soups and salads, especially for seniors…
  • I’ve quit using my big food processor for smaller batches and chopping and slicing jobs because it’s so much easier to use and store afterward, and cleaning is a breeze…
  • It’s really easy to operate. Just a few smooth twists and everything is chopped/shredded. It makes food preparation a lot easier…
  • I bought one for myself and one for my daughter as a Christmas gift. We both love this little guy. It’s simply that good at chopping.
  • I bought this one because I need something for finer works, and the blades haven’t failed me so far. I’m really satisfied with this purchase.
  • The blades are surprisingly sharp and durable. They do wonders on nuts, herbs, vegetables, and so far I’ve made killer hummus and salsa.
  • So far I’ve only made salsa and pico de gallo with it, but I was really impressed with the results. For such a small guy, it really does a smooth job.
  • Comes with tons and tons of attachments. Also, you can do so much, I have had it for over a year and it still works like new.
  • Since I’m not that strong, I was afraid I won’t be able to use it on harder food like nuts. I’m glad I was wrong. I’ve made great chicken salad with it, it’s great if you want to make food for two people fast.
  • I was really skeptical at first, but I’ve had this manual food processor for over a year now, and it hasn’t failed me so far. Making salads and soups, which I need the most, has been a breeze.
  • The most important thing about it it’s that it’s easy to clean. I hate when food gets stuck in my big food processor, and it’s virtually impossible to get it all out. This is why I started using this manual food processor for almost everything.
  • Does everything that it’s supposed to do, plus it surprised me with how fast it works. Doesn’t require a lot of strength to operate, and the blades are really sharp. So far so good.
  • I really do not know how I chopped all that onion without this little guy. I now chop onions in seconds with no tears, and just for that alone, it’s worth the price.

Negative User Reviews:

  • Replacements for work bowls are so difficult to find that I didn’t even want to bother, and I purchased a new one.
  • Well, it’s okay, but cooking for two sometimes means that slicing and dicing are almost as easy when done by hand…
  • Be careful with the blade assembly, they are all very sharp and don’t come in a separate holder…
  • Mine arrived with a broken leg, and I’m currently waiting for a replacement…

My Final Rating

I’m not really big on manual food processors, but this one seems like something that can change my mind. I was, of course, looking for key flaws and shortcomings, and so far I found nothing that could make me discard it as a waste of money.

This is a very practical and versatile product for a manual food processor. However, I have to say that I’m not really pleased to hear that they don’t make replacement work bowls. It does kind of make sense because of the price, but it’s still something that I have to note.

Positive Customer Reviews:

  • You literally cannot know how much you needed a food processor before you get one… And this is the very best I’ve had so far.
  • Now I can grate 1lb of cheese in 5 seconds (completely), chop celery, onions, bell peppers, and anything else evenly and neatly… Sometimes it works so well that I think that it has a mind of its own…
  • I now rely on it more and more to save time. I make healthier soups, salads, and snacks to take to work. It takes me minutes, storing and cleaning included.
  • After witnessing what it can do at my friend’s house, I bought myself one of these for Christmas.. for myself. I couldn’t be happier with the results I’m getting.
  • I thought that this is going to be one of those kitchen appliances you buy on a whim, use once or twice, and then forget all about it while it collects dust in one of your cabinets. I was so wrong. This thing is so easy to use and so practical; I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am with it.
  • It works wonders on ingredients for sauces, pesto, hummus, tapenade. It has such a powerful motor that it easily deals with harder foods like cheese, nuts.
  • The instructional DVD was really helpful and well presented, even though you don’t need any help with this Cuisinart. It’s super easy to use.
  • Now I can make really complex dishes with minimum effort, and doing the dishes afterward has become a breeze.
  • It’s versatile, easy to clean and use. It arrived on time, and we haven’t had any complaints so far. We’ve been using it for 2 years now.
  • This food processor never failed me, even when it came to working hardest foods. It’s super powerful, yet so quiet when on.
  • This is my very first food processor ever, and after watching the DVD instructions, I tried out my luck with many recipes I wouldn’t dare try in the past. My family is really happy because they now get at least one decent home-cooked meal a day.
  • It works great on everything we’ve tried out so far, and we’ve been more prone to explore new recipes after we got this Cuisinart. It simply saves us so much trouble and time in the kitchen.

Negative User Reviews:

  • I wish it weren’t white but some other color. It’s easy to tell when it’s dirty, and sometimes I don’t like doing the dishes right away…
  • More color options would be a nice plus…
  • The DLC-10s Cuisinart comes only in white which is kind of a drag for me…
  • Unless you plan to make food for more than two people, get a smaller size. I didn’t realize how big the bowl is until it arrived.
  • It takes a bit too much kitchen counter space for my taste…
  • I sometimes feel that all of the attachments and improvements aren’t essential, but just waste my valuable kitchen space.
  • This was a really great food processor for a few years, but now the bowl has started to crack.

My Review

This Cuisinart seems like the real deal and it is one of the best food processors out there, of the size, is good enough for you. But let’s take a step back. Despite the fact it’s really popular, that doesn’t always mean that you’re dealing with a high-quality product. Let’s recap what we’ve learned here today before we jump to any conclusions.

After some time of careful consideration and I can tell you that I employed all of the tactics from my days of working as a Quality Assurance Manager, I’ve reached a decision. Mostly because it’s so sturdy and dependable, of generous capacity, has a powerful motor and yet, it’s really quiet at work.

Overall, this is a great way to invest your money.

  • Great for salads and pre-cutting of vegetables before cooking.
  • I’m very happy with this mini food processor, it’s really easy to handle and even easier to clean. It does a great job without overheating. It’s very quiet too.
  • It doesn’t overheat like my last food processor, and you can barely notice it’s on. Great for home-made baby food and salads.
  • I cook for two and it’s just what I was looking for. It does what it’s supposed to. It’s very quick and efficient for such a small thing.
  • I like using the pulse button every ten seconds or on my vegetables, and the results are great. They don’t get mushy and you can just pop an egg into it as easily, and there’s a healthy meal for you.
  • It cut my prep time significantly; I’m going to be eating more home-made food from now on. I’m going to go easy on junk food and try a healthier lifestyle since I have this mini food processor to help me out…
  • It’s easy to use, store, and clean…
  • Very sharp and swift blade, it looks like it was made to last. The mini food processor looks really sturdy and well-made as well. It’s super easy to clean because everything comes apart. It’s really light and easy to store.

  • I’ve had this product for about 5 years or so and I’m about to buy another. Definitely money well-spent. Great for smaller households…

  • I’ve had this Cuisinart for almost 10 years now and no complaints so far. Still looks and works as well as new. I will definitely buy another one when this one finally fails me…

Negative User Reviews

  • I’m managing a 5 people household, and I don’t like that I usually have to make two portions of sauce or salsa with this one. I guess I didn’t realize how small it was…
  • It works OK, but I’m more of a traditional guy and I prefer chopping and dicing by hand. I simply ended up using my old knife and board again…
  • The product is OK, but it took 3 days to ship…
  • It chops too thinly. I bought it to make small ½-1 inch vegetable cubes for my dog, and he won’t eat these pieces…

My Review

Now that we’ve covered the basics and went over a series of end user stories regarding this product, it’s time to rate this product.

First of all, it is really powerful and made out of high-quality materials, but it’s still a mini unit, so, naturally, it doesn’t have all the features a regular size food processor has.

This little unit is most adequate for 2 people household, but any amount of food for more than 3 people would require more batches or a bigger processor.

If this size suits you, you will definitely get exactly everything that you need.
